Now... I was expecting the smile thing, but damn is it sweet. Doubly so because I've been stuck with a junker taurus for the last three weeks of my wait (ordered in late March).

I left the dealer at 1500. Took my good friend for a ride. Wasted many vehicles. The turbo isn't noise... it's the truck singing to you .
Then I took a cruise downtown. Loaded her up with people. More wasting of vehicles ensued.
Three point turns are required more often.
Had some good authentic Thai food.
Returned home alone. Several 0-140 (km/h ... 0-100-ish mph) 4wd WOT runs. Wet rubber (was raining) 4wd spins in all but overdrive. Woot!
Havn't decided what I'm going to run over first with my truck.

Sigh. Too much thinking! Tired. Bed. More fun tomorrow. Hafta make room in garage for the 'X. 200 km already? How'd that happen?
Is that post for real? You did that in a brand new Excursion, the day, within hours of taking delivery? 1-100 MPH WOT runs etc.? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]

I'm not sure I understand how I might limit this behaviour.
In my defense, I put 100 miles on it before I went nuts. I seem to have great difficulty keeping my right foot in check with this truck. Even going 100 miles without WOT was painful. Had to promise myself I could have some fun afterwards to get that far [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img].
I was somewhat shocked to find that the cruise control doesn't move the go pedal (that's a first for me). On consideration, I realized that this made sense with the drive-by-wire system ... but it was wierd, nonetheless.
