I went to Lowes and bought a quick-grip micro clamp/spreader and I use it as a spreader between the pedal and the diagnostic port.
It's not very high-tech but it will work after you mess with it for a while and learn where you have to place it to keep it from sliding off the pedal.
The adjustment is not very precise either, but you can figure it out.
I'll try this for awhile until someone comes out with an inexpensive AIC that will plug into the vehicle's harness.
They sell the clamp/spreaders at Home Depot too.

I notice that you have the EBM2 code. That is what I have too. I'm only getting 14mpg, how is yours doing? I'm hoping someone will come out reasonably priced AIC also. I think $300 and over is ridiculas. And too high priced also.

We have twin Excursions with EBM2. Here's a little info about MPG, from our perspective:
I drive with a lead brick virtually chained to my foot. I love my truck (and my PPIII...more on that in a bit), and I love the performance. I am also a volunteer firefighter/EMT, so occasionally I have reason to accelerate rapidly, as well as leaving it running (at 1200 RPM, not idle) on runs. Even so, I'm averaging 14.8 by the calculator overall. I have good tanks and bad tanks, mostly dependent on the number of EMS runs I make, and how many short trips I do during the week. I have seen as high as 17.1 on highway runs (with the PPIII, in fact!) doing 70-80+, with a lot of it 75-79 on Texas highways.
My wife chooses, subsequent to a speeding ticket a while ago, to almost never speed. She has a 25 mile one-way commute to work, which can turn into an hour depending on time of day and which way she goes to/from work. She's not real efficient in her driving (you'll get forced into your seat a bit when she hits the go pedal, then you'll comfy for a moment, then you'll smack the windshield when she enables the cruise the moment she reaches the speed limit and lets go of the go pedal), but oh well. She does a modest amount of short trips as needed. She gets 16.2 average by the calculator, with far less variation (+/- 0.4).
My PPIII is a blast, but I think I might get a WD chip. It sounds like the WD chip develops its power at more useable RPMs than the PPIII. The PPIII will DEFINITELY screw with your brain, in that the MPG computer ends up way off (typically 50-60% high). Seeing reports of 28-30 MPG aren't unusual right after filling up, and 22+ is common on normal highway runs. It's actually down around 15 MPG. This in turn affects the miles to empty meter, which in turn affects the low fuel light. Depending on how you drive through a tank of fuel, you may end up with a surprise. With the miles to empty reading 22 miles, I confirmed that the tank was in fact EMPTY, and had the joy of walking two blocks to get fuel.
Although it's not up to date (our highway trip to PA and back to TX isn't on there), I think I have my spreadsheet posted with all of my math and charts. See CPM spreadsheet for what I use to calculate it all.

15 city 18 highway at 70 mph.
7000 miles on the truck.
PPIII gave me 1.5-2 more mpg depending on the driving conditions.
