Installed Air Bags Tonight
I bought the Ride-Rite with Firestone bags. The kit went well and my 3" lift was not a problem. The range is 4.5 to 6.5 and I was at 6" so I am safe. They did not have to stretch and that is perfect for me, I did not want them to be compressed because I don't want lift when inflated, I just want strength. I don't have ears on my blocks but the hardware looks strong enough, I will be keeping my eye on it thought. I ran the air out the license plate holes were the bottom screws would go, a perfet spot because there is a hole in the sheet metal already, it is also nice not have to reach under to inflat ( like my old truck) No drilling was nice, I didn't even have to take off the tires or jack it up. Now the trailers will be a breeze. They really should make these an option on trucks, not air shocks though, just a bag like they have on lincolns or something.
