Installed DP F5 Tuner PATS problem

I cleaned the connector on the PCM but the PATS light blinks fast and it won't start. Disconnected PATS connector by the go pedal still won't start. My question is with the PATS disconnected should it start and if it should start what could be the problem?

Did DP-Tuner know that you have a PATS issue? Mine used to blink but it started. Changed that tune and it works just fine.

I went and cleaned the contacts again and now it starts and works fine. Thanks for the input.
