Interior Dome lights and Running board light
OK,
The family went to the Drive In movies a couple of months back. Took the Excursion and opened the rear hatch. The dome lights and running board lights would not go out. Keys were in the ignition in the ACC position. There was another gentlemen there with an Expedition with the same problem.
We fumbled around with our rigs for a while and then took a screw driver to the rear hatch locking mechanism. This "faked" out the lights to think the hatch was shut. It worked, but everytime we opened a door the all the lights came back on. Needless to say this was very annoying. Does anyone know if you can override the dome lights with or without the keys in the ignition? Can a simple switch be installed? Thanks in advance for the input.
Also, is there a way to get rid of the door chime when you are listing to the radio?
