Anyone ever put a switch in the interior lights so that you can turn them off with the doors or tailgate open ? I know they go off after awhile .....but if you are tailgating with the back hatch open and someone opens a door it starts the timer all over again. Anyone know how to manually override ?

The black and blue wire you need goes to one of the plugs located behind the passenger kick board. This is regardles of year. In my previous post we were initially talking about grabbing the wire in the fuse panel. The wire is black with blue stripe and is located in the plug that is mounted closer to the firewall. The two plugs are attached to the body via a clip. I took it off the mounting clip to give me more room for the wire splice. To make sure which plug is correct just unplug one at a time until the lights go out. That way you will know for sure which one has the wire you need coming from it. I would hate to tell you that the plug you need is in one place and it is actually backwards on yours. Remember humans put these things together. Be careful as there are other wires that look similar. I accidentally cut a light blue wire with a black stripe cuz i was not paying attention. There is also a black with light blue stipe in a different bundle of wires behind the kick board that is close to the firewall. It does not go to any plugs so you should be safe by not getting it confused. To remove the overhead console just remove the screw in the sunglass holder compartment and then pull down on the console at the front and rear. Pull firmly. It will come down and you can unplug everything and mount the switch and wire it. I will run the wires behind the weather stripping up to the top o fhte a pillar and then tuck the wires under the headliner where it meets the windshield. The wires with then go over to the console. If you need anything else let me know.
