Interior panels?

I was just out looking at trying to wire up a sub. How do these side rear panels come off? I am used to seeing hidden screws, or ones behind little plugs, etc... I don't see anything in the back. Do the door panels pop off as well? I don't want to force it, unless it is meant to pop off.

On a side note, I know there is a pie adapter to input into the factory 6 disk. Is there also some sort of rca level output to wire up an amp?

They should pop right off with some pulling pressure, there's metal snap in's that are attached to the back side of the panels, that's where some of the annoying squeeks originate from.

Unfortunately there's no line level adjustemts on the back of the stock stereos, just harness plug ins.

Guess Ford didn't expect their owners to accessorize their trucks

Re: Interior panels?

The previous owner of my X had tapped into the factory stereo wiring somehow and wired in two rca lines to run an amp. I took my amp and literally screwed the wires in he already had ran under the third row seat and put my sub box in the back. The stock system with the added subs sounds awesome and the 6 disk changer & head unit work/sound great. Just get an amp with a high input capability. I had my amp wired tapping into my speakers in an all factory system in my previous Expedtion...sounded great. It is the same amp I still have...fairly inexpensive 1000 W Sony Xplode. I have used it in my boat as well with no problems. Good Luck!
