Re: ITP high pressure crossover

Yelloman,

Actually, it equalizes the pressure between the High Pressure Oil Rails, not the fuel rails. We have had VERY positive comments from customers that experienced a quieter and smoother running PSD with the kit. I'm sure that others will chime in here but wanted to make sure you understood what it was really connecting.

Please let me know if you have any questions...

Re: ITP high pressure crossover

I've got one and like it. The engine is definitely smoother and quieter so even though I still have a mild, intermittent idle knock I'd still give it a firm two thumbs up.

Re: ITP high pressure crossover

I have a leak from one of my stock HP hoses. Still waiting to get it fixed. I've installed one of ITP's HX kits and you know what? The elak has stopped. I am still going to get it fixed, but I wonder why balancing the pressure stops the leak? Is one side seeing more pressure than the other? Interesting problem.

Re: ITP high pressure crossover

well it is installed. had a leak problem during startup, had to retighten the hoses. no problem now. X runs great, ran great before but it does seem quite a bit quieter now. with the windows up it is very quiet while idle and off throttle. when I jump on it, it sounds the same.

it was an easy install but a bit awkward using the tools at those angles. will I need to remove the hose before taking it in for service work?

thanks Dennis

Re: ITP high pressure crossover

Depends on the dealer--even the local PITA's didn't say anything when I took my rig in with the ITP hose installed but some might pitch a fit if they see it.
