I got a block heater, but I won't need it!
Not hare in Texus
I've heard different reports about where "they found their's", but
Mine is zip tiead and pointing down on the wire loom running just behind the grill about in line with the left (passenger side) edge of the radiator...
Black, three prong receptacle with end cap...
Hade to lay down under the bumper and look up the front of my Ex...
Maybe these threads will help - gotta get a picture out here !

Nice review. Where's the block heater plug-in? May need it this Winter.

I crawled under my truck 4-5 times and still could not find it. It is in service right now and had the tech pull it down and tie a red string on it.
On a side note they laughed when I told them that I could not find it. Quote, "Ford hides them really well".

I think we all have good things to say of our Excursions
Our block heater cord is still zip tied up as I only use an Oil heater during the winter.
I don't know if the 6.0's block heater cord is in the same location of the 7.3's but it should be found drivers side behind the bumper area.

Zapped, check out the update with the plug mounted behind the pivoting license plate - NEAT solution!

CHP,
Now see here !!!
My plug is on the passenger side of the 6.0L Ex !!!
So it's definetly one way on the 6.0 Ex and another on the 7.3L Ex!
Maybe also different on the SD Pickups ?!?!?
And that gives me a ready-made excuse for the three times I tried to find mine and couldn't!
(And then only found it when I pulled the grill to relocate my fogs to the bottom of the westin bull bar !)

It's a pretty straight up review from an actual owner that's for sure
Our 99.5 F250 & F550 both had the heater plugs behind the drivers side of the bumper area.
Ford has to keep making these silly changes, always have to keep throwing us curve balls
