Just drove a v10 - Diesel Forum

And it beat me to death. My sisters 2003 v10 parked behind my wife's 2000 PSD X,so I took hers for a quick trip to the store.Yeah the engines quieter than the deisel but just makes the dash and door rattles that much more noticable.Only4000 miles and i couldn't believe the rattles.I'm not knocking the V 10 (altough when i flicked the computer it read avg 10.3 mpg).Just makes the shock and swaybar addition i did to my wifes 2000 much more appreciated. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]I did have a brake vibration in hers though ,took it in three times ,kind funny it went away when Itook off the Firestones and put on the Michelins.Yes I think I'll keep the 2000.

I have a 2000 with over 60k miles, no rattles. I seriously considered the 6 liter to replace out Expedition, but bought another V10 Excursion. So far it is seems very well put together, as was the 6L version I test drove. I'm not sure of the point of having a diesel to cover up the rattles. Having been around this site for quite a while never have been critical of anyone owning a diesel.
Hopfully the V10 fufills your relative's needs and the rattles can be fixed.
