K&N vs. AFE PRO GUARD 7

I've got a 2002 EX with a banks stinger plus system. I bought this truck used and even though it had the banks kit installed, it still used the factory air box with upgraded filter. I'm looking to add one of these intakes. I've noticed a bunch of people prefer the AFE over the K&N. It is almost twice the price so my question is it worth it? What makes the AFE one so much better?

Re: K&N vs. AFE PRO GUARD 7

My biggest reason for obtaining the AFE was the proguard7 filter does not open up and let dirt through like cotton filters such as K&Ns. When it came to getting cold air to the intake I also couldn't find a better source than the Stage II. It is pricy though. I purchased my from dieselmanor.com. They have it on sale right now by the way. Cheapest I've found it so far...

The "Dirt Passing The Filter" is the dirt collected by the "Post Filter" during the test.
