King Ranch wheels/tires on an Excursion??

Have any X drivers installed King Ranch wheels/tires on their Excursions? If so, are there any handling/ride quality/wheel clearance issues I should be aware of? Did it change the height of the vehicle? I would be going from Goodrich 265/75 R16's to 04 model year Goodyear 275/65 R18's from an F350.

Re: King Ranch wheels/tires on an Excursion??

There was just a post in the last week or so on this. I believe the answer was that they wil not fit because of back spacing changes. Either that or, they would fit, but wouldn't work.

04 KR 18 inch wheels will work--05 KR 18 inch will not fit correctly. The early 04 KR were 16" and late were 18"

Re: King Ranch wheels/tires on an Excursion??

Ok the guy really wants my wheels and tires. Today he offered to trade straight up for his 04 wheels and tires for my 03 wheels and tires. I would have a distictive looking X with King Ranch wheels on it. Anyone have any experience doing this change of hardware?

Re: King Ranch wheels/tires on an Excursion??

They should fit..Just mount one to be sure..Only thing i can think of is clearance issues? The back spacing was unchanged until 2005..
