Leaking what should I do?

My 2005 EX has 6400 miles on it. The coolant reservoir seems to be leaking. The coolant level is low and white residue is evident around the outside of the tank. Anyone else have this problem? What needs to be done to resolve this. Thanks for the help!

111 views and not one reply....thats because it is simple, take it back, it is under warrenty. let them find it or replace it otherwise the outcome will be an over heated engine, warped heads, siezed pistons, crank, you name it.

Re: Leaking what should I do?

OR, pay the bucks and do it yourself. At least you will know it is done right. Catch the coolant in a clean bucket, change tank, refill coolant from clean bucket, DONE. You never know what the dealer will do!!!!

Re: Leaking what should I do?

I think I've read that the 6.0 has trouble with coolant sometimes - you might want to check out threads in the 6.0 engine forum.

Re: Leaking what should I do?

I agree with MotionMan. Seems like a no brainer. You paid good money for that warranty. Ford's feet need to be held to the fire. Let them fix it on their nickel.
