OK guys, straighten me out on this one [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img] Was out in the field today with the office 00' X and was working out of the back. After looking at the rubber seal for about 8 hours, it dawned on me that something was odd. When the better half got home I took a quick peek at the liftgate on our 03' and sure enough it was not there! When did F**D stop putting the bulb seal on the liftgate?
I took a lab wipe and wiped it across the top of the dutch doors (00' still has the 3M protective tape on top of the doors) and sure enough it was as clean as it looked. Has me thinking I need to find and install one of these seals [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] I'm getting tired of all the road grim finding its way to rest on top of my black doors.
I have an 03 and I was a little upset that so much dirt could find its way in there. I have a buddy with an 00 and I will look at it but I seem to remember him having the same problem. I guess I don't know what this seal looks like. Can someone post a picture, I would like to end this mess also.

Will still try and post a picture in the morning, but it looks as if will be a moot point. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] Stopped by the friendly dealership this afternoon and talked the the guy in the parts department. We were able to find the seal for a 2000 X, but the kicker is that it can not be ordered [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] It seems the part # has been superseded by the kit that we already have, the 6" straight rubber flap, and rubber stoppers. Other than junkyards, any other options?
How about finding an 00 for sale and stealing it [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I can't imagine too many of these in the junk yard but that sounds like the only place to find one.
