Has anybody changed the standard X side mirrors to same style but with the turn signal lights ? If so how much did it cost and how difficult was it ? Is the wiring in place for this swap out ?
I saw a pretty good thread on the Ford Truck Enthusiast Forum. It indicated the change from the standard mirrors to the lighted tow mirrors was pretty easy. The biggest challenge was running a single wire from each mirror to the light switch for the side light power. The rest just plugged in to give you the heat and turn signal. The guys there bought them at Buckeye Ford in Ohio I think. He had the most reasonable price, about $325 for the set.
