Locking Wheel Nuts

I figured with the nice looking factory rims and nice rubber I put on, it might be a good idea to put on locking wheel lug nuts – I usually do. None available at the local auto parts shops – these are a new size/thread/pitch or something – not available!!

Only place to get them was the Ford dealership – they had to special order them and it took a week and half!!! Cost $53.38 – whatcha going to do. Part #YLEZ1A043AA.

I think I feel better now. LOL

Re: Locking Wheel Nuts

One thing I've really noticed is the huge variation in prices for the same product at different Ford dealerships nation wide.
I paid $24.95 for the exact same lock set.
I've also been caught in the "upper" price end for a few products that I saw mentioned here at a much cheaper price......Unless the "posters" were lieing about the product's price...LOL
I've since started buying things at the Ford Dealership via my friend's body shop...
I order it in the shops name, leave my cell number for contact # and then pay cash when it arrives....I always save at least thirty percent on everything ordered. The dealership parts guy says they never look closely at those deals if it's not going on their account receivable books. So you could mention the company name of anybody you know that has an auto related business when ordering.
Unethical? .....not compared to selling me a $40,000 vehicle that needs an immediate three or four thousand dollars to make it what it should have been prior to being sold in the first place..LOL
