Looking for pictures of 17X9 rims and 35X12.5 tires.

I am planning to install a DR Edge 4.5" spring hanger lift on my "X" and plan to run American Racing 17X9 Chrome Chamber wheels (4.5" backspace with -12mm offset) and 35X12.5R17 Toyo M/T's.

I am wondering if and how much these tires will stick out beyond the fenders. If anyone has pictures of this size tire and rim combo on their "X" I would be interested in checking them out.

Thanks.

Re: Looking for pictures of 17X9 rims and 35X12.5 tires.

I don't remember the back spacing but I'm running Robby Gordon 17 X 9's with 35X12.50 ProComp AT's, these pictures are with a 4.5" Donahoe lift. I'm not real big on the look of tires sticking out of the wheelwell, my fronts stick out no more than an inch if that and the rears not at all. I wish they made a 35 or 37X11.50, I would like that.

Here are a few pictures, just click the "next" to see other views: Ex with 35's on 17 X 9's
I am now about 1.5" to 2" taller with my V and B code spring change, haven't measured yet. Tires rubbed a little before, not at all now.

Nice looking truck!I am looking at the Donahoe 5" lift now & puting 315x75x16 tires on 16x10 wheels with 5.5" backspace.I wanted a lift with no blocks rear.

Will you still run the factory "horned" (bump stop block) block?

DART505,

I really like your cowl induction hood. Do you recall who makes it, where you got it, and what it cost?

Also, you mentioned you plan to go with 5.5" BS on your rims. My research has shown that 4&5/8" BS is supposed to be ideal with 5" BS being the limit. Not sure If 5.5" will cause problems with spring contact at full lock up front.

Steve O,

Awesome looking rig. Thanks for the photos.

Any chance you can recall the BS on your Robby Gordons? It would be a help to know what it is as I review you photos.

Re: Looking for pictures of 17X9 rims and 35X12.5 tires.

I don't remember what it is, but I just called a guy at Deaver Springs because I saw a set for sale in the shop when I picked up my new u-bolts last Friday. He measured them for me and said they were 3.5", that didn't sound right to me but he said he was positive. He did say that they came off an Excursion.

I figure it might touch lock to lock.The wheel choises for a 16" either had 4" 8's 4 1/2 8's or 4 1/2 10's 4" 10's I could not find a 5"BS 10" which is what I wanted so might have to put 1/4" to 1/2" billet spacers maybe.
The hood I can't remember but it fits pretty close to oe.I'll have to dig.
I will soon find out!
I had 315's on it before with no lift but on stock wheels & it drove like crap, too narrow of course but they would only touch when cranked hard.I have 2" more rear height than the front & I am tempted to put V or W's on the front & let it ride.
