Re: Memory Seats?

Reno---did you read this guys post??? He politely asked if anyone knew if he could retrofit the memory seats from an '02.

He didn't ask for a wise-ass answer about how YOU set YOUR seat.

Get an attitude check!!!!!!!

Memory Seats?

I bought a deeply discounted 2001 Limited X instead of the 2002. I figured that $6000 was way too much for all the electronic goodies on the 2002 Ultimate Limited. The one 2002 feature I really would like is the driver memory seat. I am over 6' and my wife is 5' 1". I hate having to spend 5 minutes fiddleing with the controls for the seat and mirrors everytime I get in to drive. Do any of you have the wiring diagrams or know about how the memory seats work? I want to know if there is any way (factory or aftermarket) to upgrade my X.
Thanks

Re: Memory Seats?

I'm 6'6" and it takes me about 20 seconds to get the seat to my liking after wifey drives:

1. all the way back
2. front seat cushion all the way up
3. rear seat cushion all the way down

Done! I'd be fine with manual adjustments

Re: Memory Seats?

I picked up a brochure from my dealer from Ford Outfitters. It listed more than 50 "accessories" you can add to your X. (ie. Daytime running lights, Automatic headlights, etc.) I expect that once the 2002's are out, some of the upgrades from 2001 will be offerred as "accessories". I am in the same position as you having bought my X in June. I really want the garage door opener built in to the sun visor and the memory seats as well.
