Mirror Lights on x

I am headed next week to pick up my 03 7.3x. It's a limited with the dvd player but I really like the extended mirrors with the lights in them. This has the power telescoping heated mirrors but no lights.

Can the lighted mirrors be put in?

Is the wiring harness there just the mirrrors aren't ordered?

Thanks

Re: Mirror Lights on x

For the Excursions I read that the wiring has to be modifyed for the turn mirrors to work properly, might have to do a back search in the Upgrades slot for some recent threads.

Re: Mirror Lights on x

The factory never offered signal mirrors with the trailer tow mirrors, but you can buy them aftermarket here from Muth.

Actually in 2003 Ford does offer heated, electric, turn signal mirrors. Here is a picture.

Re: Mirror Lights on x

Check this thread. It should answer most of your questions.

I also just put these mirrors on (check my pics). I'm thinking that the wiring will probably already be in the door. In my case, since I have an '02, I have to do some wiring, but you shouldn't have to with an '03.

Good Luck.
