Mirror Question

On a 2002 Excursion Limited, can the standard mirrors be replaced with the Telescopic power htd mirrors? If so what would be involved? Does anyone know if the wiring matches up? Thanks

Re: Mirror Question

I know you can on the 2000 and 2001, so I'd assume that the 2002 is the same. I understand it's a simple switch out and the wiring does match up. Several on here have done it. I was going to do it, but I'm able to see around my camper without any trouble.

Re: Mirror Question

I have an '02 Ltd. Ult. It was a piece of cake to swap out the mirrors. If you get the TT mirrors, make sure you get the heated ones as the connectors are different than the others. It takes about 30 minutes to do it. I just did it last night.

Best of luck!

Re: Mirror Question

If you don't mind me asking what did the mirrors run you price wise? Thanks again.

Re: Mirror Question

Try ebay. There are always factory mirrors for sale.

Per Crash manual (2000-2001 Model years):
Paddle type - $129.92 each
Telescopic type - $270.87 each
Labor - .3 Hours each

Not sure, but I think the only change for 2002 model year was that the mirrors will fold forward.

Hope this helps,
