found a PDF on the net that has a bunch of info about the 2005 Excursion. It is a paper made for the salesman to be able to answer questions about the truck. It verifies that the 2005 Excursion has a Dana 50 axle.
Why would the block heater for the diesel be an option? It is a $15 part and is a must on the diesel. Just like the under hood light that was deleted....stupid fools and their bean counting friends.

The block heater is there. Some warm climate vehicles just don't get the $2 cord. I don't think I'll ever use mine, but I'm glad I have it.

Yeah, that is the salesmens Source Book. When I picked up my new '05, I hit up the fleet guy for one and any other info that they had on the Ex. I got a few other things with some info and a book on the 6.0. Another very important book to have is the Towing guide for '05. It not only covers the Ex, but all other Ford vehicles that can tow (including cab/chassis and cutaways, a good thing for a guy like me with an E450 motorhome).
