More News About the X Being Replaced by a Stretched Expy
The link below will take you to an article in the Detroit News. Ford applied for tax abatements from the City of Wayne, MI to expand/retool the truck plant in Wayne that builds the Expy. Apparently, part of the reason for the expansion/retooling was to enable Ford to start building a stretched Expy.
Some good news. The article indicates (no official word from Ford) that the X will be built until replaced by the stretched Expy in "2-3 years".

My bet will be the 3 valve 5.4 with a 10,000 lbs. tow rating to match the 'Burb.

It would be nice if the 6.0L made it into the Expy, stretched and not-strecthed. Would be nice when I no longer need the bigger Excursion, but still want the Diesel!
