Move the battery?

I finally took the K&N air filter out and put a Tymar in, right away I could feel a little boost in power, mostly when doing 50 or so then going up to 65. However, its a tight fit with this filter and the way mine is positioned the battery is blocking the entire front, it looks like with the hood down its pretty well blocked from the top and the back is pretty tight, there is open space toward the bottom that it can draw air.

My question is, has anyone tried swapping the battery location for the air filter? It would not seem that hard to do, then the filter is open to the grill to suck as much air as it wants.
