My head needs resting.....

One thing I have found that GM has over Ford is seat comfort........
I have the 03 EX

Does anyone agree?

Looking for any ideas:

1. There is no place to rest my head.....when I put my head back on the top of the seat I feel as though I am in a planatarium looking at the stars. - is there an aftermarket extension for the top of the seat maybe?

2. The seat itself is harder than I'm used to - I want to purchase seat covers for the front to save the seats from getting trashed - maybe a cushioned cover - suggestion?

IS THERE AN ENTIRE AFTERMARKET SEAT TO PUT IN?

Agreed. If you want comfort, buy a GM. The so-called "head rest" is NOT for resting your head. It's a whiplash protection device, period. Build a rest that slips over the stock seat or have an upholstery shop make one for you. That would be far cheaper than changing out the seats if that's your only complaint. One guy on this site commented that he replaces the bottom seat cushion every 100,000 miles for a "new car ride." They are spendy and hard to find.

I hear ya on the GM thing - I came from a H2 - she had 120,00 when I sold it.....the seat was as comfy as Grandpa old recliner with the torn armrests....LOL

I already started to design a slip over for the whip lash thing ;-)

Thanks Joe

Aftermarket seats are so expensive that unless you are rich or spend your life in the car, they aren't worth it. Someone on here years ago installed air-ride seat mounts. Not sure if they installed different seats on top of them or reused the stock seats, but they swore by them iirc. Now you know just about everything I know about lowest bidder seats.
