Need pics of gauges installed in your X!

I am the pround new owner of an 03 7.3 X. I need to see some pics of gauges installed in an X so I can decide where to put mine. My pillar has a handle on it so I think I will have to mount them somewhere else as the wife needs the handle to get in. So post some pics or links so I can make a decision.

Thanks,

John

Go to the after market forum and there are many pics that you can find. Check out the under cubby gauges that FamilyRide installed and he also has pics.

Yep, there is a link in my sig. to the uncer cubbies. I really like them. I'd love them even more if I could get the boost gauge to get quiet under heavy boost.

The boost guage is noisy? Is this typical of guages, or should we avoid that brand?

Re: Need pics of gauges installed in your X!

Appearentl "some" Isspro boost gauges are, but there is supposed to be a remedy. I found the jet to be loose in the gauge but it's didn't totaly fix it. You're supposed to be able to slit the tube at the gauge end enough that the slit goes a hair past the fitting to fix it, and I'm not sure it did. However, I didn't have a handfulk of compression sleeves to keep trying different things. David at Diesel Manor said ones that have come back he's tested to 30 PSI with a compressor and they were quiet. It's only on the turck when they make some noise. It's not that bad but I know it's there.

I'll still be looking at a way to get it stopped though.....

Re: Need pics of gauges installed in your X!

Tell your wife to use the steering wheel and put the gauges on the piler. You don't have to look away from the road as much to see them. They look factory there. When the Duramax guy drives by you and sees your gauges, he'll be jelous. Check my pics of my gauges.

Re: Need pics of gauges installed in your X!

Thanks for the info guys, I think the pod that mounts below the cubby will be the best place. I am really just putting the gauges in to keep an eye on things. I don't plan on bumping up the power very much. Probably going to start with the "10K" mod and the rear sway bar.

Snug (Doug) - you need to change your sig
