It will serve no practical purpose, I just like the way It'll look.
I'd like to go 2-4" just enough to notice but not enough to make me spend big bucks on shocks, drivetrain and the such.
I know this has been asked before but I had no luck searching the archives. It kept giving me all the past topics.
Get to the question Doug, OK, who carries them and are they a do-it-yourself job?
I have a 2WD truck and the only lifts I've found are from Fabtech and Procomp and I think only Procomp is "Diesel Rated". With that said I've never seen one listed for the Excursion and I'm not familiar with what ,if anything, would be different. So I would start with those two and see what they say.

Get in touch with Overkill here on the forum, he can tell you the pro's and con's of the different brands - he runs a good shop down in south TX. Procomp, RCD, and Fabtech make real kits - 4" to 6" - medium to heavy DIY effort. There are also some daystar spring spacers that give a couple of inches of lift.

I have asked the same question before and nobody really knew who or how. Good luck in your search, and if you do figure it out I would be interested too. Just looking for about 2" also.
I went to 4wheel parts and they put on new springs in the front and a 3-5/8 block in back and got me 4" overall. And they are great to deal with very sharp guys.
