New Diesel X Owner Questions!

Brand new and my first post here...

I just took delivery of a 2002 2WD Limited Ultimate Diesel X. My second since my wife also has one. I've been reading for quite some time now and have taken everyone's recommendations on some suspension improvements. Thanks to all by the way!

I added the RS9000's about a week ago (setting 5 front/4 rear) and the Hellwig sway bar just today. The RS9000's with the sway bar are a must. I can't say enough about the difference in the ride. No noticeable body roll even when pushed hard into a corner...

While at the shop today, I took particular notice (similar to lots of 4WD posts) that the front suspension stops are at most 2" from the crossbeam! Not good... Not much travel... My wifes X (2WD V10) sits about 2" higher in the front.

I have to resolve this! Seems like all the posts for springs are for the 4WD. Any recommendations for the 2WD to give me about 2" more lift in the front? Aftermarket coils perhaps?

Thanks for any recommendations that you might have!

Tom

Re: New Diesel X Owner Questions!

Tom, wow 100-some reads and no replies. Sorry I can't answer your question directly but, I know places like www.performanceproducts.com have progressive coils with 1" lift over stock. For your ex, I'm not sure. Might be a better question for some of the aftermarket suspension lift manufaturers since if you want to go up 2" in front, what about the back? (And it might also involve other parts to maintain the suspension geometry.) Try being more specific like "help me lift the front of my 2WD ex" and post in the "upgrades and aftermarket" forum. Dale
