I am ordering an 04 X on Monday with the 6.0. I have been looking at the different options and was trying to figure out all the differences between the EB and Limited. Seems it is only the exterior color and memory pedals. Am I missing anything? Any help appreciated.
Ltd. gets the monotone outside color with the bumper, grill, wheel lip moldings, etc. all painted body color.

My Eddie Bauer X has everything above except homelink (and Limited wheels, of course). My Excursion rocks!!

Thanks to all for the replies. I'm going to get the X with all options except rear entertainment and 2nd row capt chairs. Now the question is which model, EB or Limited. I wish I could find a pic of a Mineral Gray EB with the Arizona Beige Lip molding. I'm not sure I would like that color combination or not.
I am leaning towards the Limited in Pueblo Gold. I'm sure I will love either one I get. If anyone has or knows of a pic of an EB with the Arizona Beige Lip molding please let me know. Thanks again to all.

The only issue that I see with the Ltd. is that you had better like the color that you pick, because there is an awful lot of it. My wife bought a copper-colored Mustang II (this was before I was in the picture). That copper looked great for about 6 months, then it looked rusty for about 4 years (I came into the picture and made her get rid of it).
Go to the Ford website and build an X. They allow you to change the color. I know that it it only animation and a little grainy, but you can see the different colors. I will do it for you and email the pictures as a WORD document if you PM me your email address. I actually did it last night, but didn't have your address.
I have issues with Mineral Grey (My brother has a Mineral Grey Explorer. He picked the color because it was "dirt" colored and he would never have to wash the truck). I saw a monotone Mineral Grey X. Yep. Big and grey. Looked like it belonged on an Army base.
OK. Now I'm in trouble.
Roadhog,
Do you have any kids?? 3 or more? If so I would rethink the 2nd row captians chairs!
We have four kids and the thought of them hiking of the seat to get to the back was just not going to happen. I know the seats lift and fold but kids do DUMB things.
We love our captians chairs easy to move around while driving on trips, we are also ask to/or offer to drive when we go out with friends to eat or to our weekend get aways.
Entertainment center? Great for those 12 hour florida trips. Either way, you will LOVE your excursion, we do

1BADF350, No young children to worry about. I was under the impression that it would be easier to fold down the 2nd row bench rather than remove the cpts chairs. Maybe I should rethink that option. When you remove the 2nd row cpts chairs and the 3rd row seats do you have an even flat cargo area open from the back to the front seats? How much does each cpt chair weigh? Being retired with somewhat of a lifting disability weight would be a concern.
Neither type of seat folds absolutely flat with the floor. Neither type of seat (second row) is removable without the use of tools (I think). Third row is removable by pulling levers.

Once you remove the third row the split seat folds pretty flat. I own a Limited and a Eddie both 6.0 2003's. not much difference!

I have seen the gray with beige, it's pretty ugly. Looks like it was ordered by someone who is colorblind. As for the second row bench, mine (2000) folds flat into the floor and has filler panels that fold in to fill the footwells of the third row. I like the Limited's monochrome look, but I like the leather in the EB better. Get what you want, after all, it's your truck. I would order bright red (not even offered), but most would not like that.

Well, the brochure shows them as body color, BUT, I was with 19WCA62 at a dealership last weekend and the '04 EB they had had Black door handles. What the...??? And no, it wasn't black.
Guess we'll have to look some more....
Anyone know when they got rid of the lock on the passenger door???
Oh, and the Limited has a chrome strip on the cladding on the doors!!!
And the first thing I will do with my NEW X is buy Chromed Bumpers!!!!
