New Flash and It's All Good So Far

Had my truck in this week for a couple of minor items one was some miss-shifts from 3rd to 4th at 2000RPM, light acceleration. It would fo it just once in a while. it wouldds shift out of 3rd then overspeed slightly prior to going into 4th.

They reflashed both Diesel fuel what ever mondule and the PCM I did not know they were three in the truck I though it was just the two.

PCM reflash seemed to fix the trans problem just fine.

The reflash of the engine fuel module seemed to help the MPGs also.

I had a Blackstone report done for my last oil change and it showed 4% fuel in the oil, I told the dealer and they said the new flash was also to help with some over fueling at idle.

If anything it sounds a little more diesel like at idle.

Not sure if this is for 04s also but I am glad I had it done.

There already flashing the 05's? When are they going to get it right? Did you lose your pilot injection and T/H? I just had my 03 X flashed for the first time what a mistake.

The '05's are different, but those strategyes were already changed in later '04's. BUt I think wiht the '05 and the new processor they are using different different strategies that can be supported now. However, I haven't noticed a lot of difference but I think the '05's just had much fewer drivability issues.

O5s don't have PI

My 05 did not have much if any T/H on the braking side it was Castrated from FORD
Had first reflash done about 6 weeks ago got some T/H but MPGs went down and Fuel in oil.

With this flash More (I think very usable) T/H and lower (sooner) stronger shifts at light loads.

Still had a misshift today for the first time I think it is still Hyd/Mech sticking so I will be adding LubeGard as I have been to all my vehicles for about 6 years now. I will be surprized if the problem does not go away.

I waited for a flash I could live with prior to making any changes.
