Jconley - Welcome to a great sire. Feel free to read the other forums. There is a large amount of information out there to take in.
You might want to look in to removing the roof rack cross bars. They are fairly easy to remove and install. If you leave them up there for a long time, dirt seems to get under them and wear/scratch the paint. [img]images/icons/crazy.gif[/img] The cross bars lay on the roof with a felt like material between them and the painted surface.
As far as the hitch haul goes, I still use mine to keep out the "dirty" items from the inside of the Excursion and once in a while, my wife still manages to run out of space in the Excursion. [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] I always seemed to use the hitch haul with the Expedition she had before we traded up to the Excursion.
