So I'm walking around the ford area at the auto show, looking for the X and not finding it. It's not with the SUV's, it's not with the trucks. I finally find it literally hidden behind a wall, all by itself.
You don't have to yell, Ford, we get the message.

The X is a cash cow for Ford. It has a loyal following and sells 25,000-30,000 units a year without any help from Ford. Ford is happy with that. 1 shift on 1 line at KTP.
So, Ford does not advertise nor spend any promotional money on the X, milking those profits for all that it is worth.
I'm surprised that they even had one at the auto show. I bet it was a 5.4.
I would rather Ford just stop making the Excursion ASAP. Lesser is better, fewer of these great machines on the road will make the ones left just that more valuable.
So Ford, keep on ignoring the customer.
These SUV's have capability for many modifications. Therefore the life of the Excursion will be a long one as long as the sheet metal will hold up.
Just my opinion

So what would you do if Ford does stop making the X tomorrow and you total the thing 5 years from now? The X has a very loyal ownership that won't drive any other SUV. Nothing else has the capabilities of the X in the snow, towing a full load while carrying 8 friends and family plus all the the luggage, or anything else you throw at it. I for one love our X, I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. I don't want to see it discontinued. Sorry for the rant.
