no power

Ok Guys & Girls,

My 2001 PSD, all of a sudden lost all power through the throttle. It will idle fine but when the throttle is pressed the engine will not rev. I stopped on Hwy I-35 between SA and Austin, messed with it, got it going , but soon did the same thing. Have towing service, so towed to Dealer in Buda Tx. They "think" it is one of the throttle sensors, possible the ,potenameter< mis spelled. The rig idled fine while waiting for wrecker, but would not rev. when pushing throttle.

CPS and ICP have both recently been replaced.

Have any of you had problem with Throttle sensors , I understand there are about 3 in line.

Thanks for any imput

Jim

Re: no power

That sure in the heck sounds like the accelerator pedal problem with the throttle position sensor.

The trouble codes should be P0221 OR P0122.

There was a TSB for 2002-up but not sure if Ford took in the 2001's also.
