Official Build-out Dates for Excursion - Diesel Forum

Just in from Ford:

Final order submission date: August 5th
2005 Build-out date: September 30th

These are always subject to change, especially if Ford gets more orders than they originally anticipated. Then the final order date could be moved up even earlier.

just a crying shame. Our suburban lease comes due in January. I may have to own a suburban and an excursion for two months. So i figure order it and hope its built towards then end, then get sometime in late october or so.

I am wondering what the values of these beasts we own are going to do after Ford quits making them.

I think the Diesels will hold water but dunno about the gassers,I could be wrong tho.

I know when we bought ours almost 2 years ago the first rumors of killing the X were out. After we picked ours up the prices seemed to increase even though Ford kept on producing them.
