OH!! NO!!!!!!!!!!

Found out today that my build date was pushed back a week. Go figure, Now I'm told it's to be bulit week of Feb. 21 instead of Feb. 14. I have a priority 01, guess that means nothing anymore. So I called Detroit three different times at three different phone numbers to complain. Lot of good it did me. So I called my dealer and talked to the sales manager, asked if he could just find out what is going on. He told me that there is nothing he can do. I then asked if (after I explained to him about some surgery I'm having on March 01.) he can hold onto the EXCURSION for about three weeks until I can get up there to pick it up (can't drive due to the good drugs and wife won't drive it, cause it's too big for her!). He said No, I'll sell it to the first person that comes along, or he would charge me his cost in interest for the vehicle sitting on his lot. After I told him that I was financing the vehicle and that I'm renting one of his rental cars for the month or until the EXCURSION arrives, he decided that he would keep the truck on the back lot and NOT SELL it or charge me interest. What a great way to get a customer to come back!!!!

I really don't care when the truck is made, I would like some information as to why the push back of one week. I asked the help lines if there were any reasons like waiting for new shipments of PSD engines or Tranny's or anything. They both said nothing is showing up on their computers. I wonder if VOPC decided to rescedule just for the heck of it?

I would like to have the truck before I go under the knife, but hey, at least I don't have to make any payments until I'm better!

Well, I found out some information. Seems that the KTP is NOT expierencing any shortages of PSD's or tranny's. All plants have the ability to shift production orders around to fit into there schedule. At least this wasn't some left winged conspiricy against my Politically Incorrect EXCURSION. Now I just hope that idiot Sales Manager doesn't sell my beast from under me. Now Thats what I'm worried about now!

This delay now allows DIS to get the rest of my order to me on time now!

Re: OH!! NO!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got to talk to my salesman today and relayed the conversation that transpired between myself and his sales manager. In the course of our conversation, the salesman had enough of his manager, and said that He the salesman, would be happy to deliver my new truck to my driveway along with all of the paperwork. I think I just may take him up on this offer. I'll just have a friend of mine do the test drive while I sit and look at all the people looking at my new truck.

Re: OH!! NO!!!!!!!!!!

hey jb, yeh better take them up on that deal, or you'll loose the truck, psd's are rare in the northeast, running 12-15 weeks, depending on allocation to dealers.

plus with the deal you got, a couple of payments made shouldn't be a big deal to have it to look at it in your driveway.

good luck.

Re: OH!! NO!!!!!!!!!!

ha paschold,

My wife and I decided to take the salesman's offer of having the truck delivered to our driveway, along with all of the paperwork. This is an oppurtunity I just can't pass up. Guess I can make up a list of items that I want done before I take delivery, and take the list up on the 29th. along with a credit card deposit.

I will call the salesman next week to make arrangements. At least I will be able to look out my kitchen windows and see my new truck.

Now just in case we have some real warm weather, and I'm feeling well enough, I may go ahead and start installing my guages later in March.
