Unloaded, flat interstate, 65-70mph I'm seeing 500-550.
Towing, flat interstate, 65mph I'm seeing 850.

Todd,

The posted numbers compare very close with mine. Towing at 70 will range from 850 to 900. 70 mph cruise is 500-550.

Michael

Re: OK, what are your EGT's? loaded & empty

Hmmm....... typical is 800 - I may see 700 with a tailwind - of course, I am usually going 80 mph - never seen as low as 500 unless I am slowing down...... towing is around 900 - 1000

I have the EBM2 code - maybe my problem? seems I am slightly hotter than some

Re: OK, what are your EGT's? loaded & empty

thanks gang, i am seeing about the same. 550 @ 60 up to 750 @ 75 empty. it'll hit about 1050 in a 1/4 mile run @ WOT. i was surprised at that, i figured it would run hotter @ WOT. i can peg 1600 in the Dodge if i don't let off.

i havent towed with it again, yet.

Re: OK, what are your EGT's? loaded & empty

If I get a LONG stretch of road that is level. I'll see just below 600F pre-turbo at 70 mph unloaded. I haven't towed with it since I got the gauges in.

Those temps should come down a bit when I get my injectors re-worked at the end of March.

Re: OK, what are your EGT's? loaded & empty

Unloaded at 75-80 I get between 550-600 degrees, about 6-7psi boost. Loaded (5000lb of open trailer w/car) it's about 650-700 degrees at bout 7ps at 75. Hills and headwinds to make them creep up to 750 sometimes.
