Searched the archives and came up surprisingly empty. From what I gather, these deflectors don't really offer a bug free windshield but do provide protection from rocks and such. Any other opinions out there? Any recommendations for quality units?? Thanks.
The best bug/windshield deflector that I've purchased was "De-Bug" shield by Deflect-a-Shield,it was flat and went across the front contour of the hood.
I had a clear red with chrome molding on my '86 F350 and you could see the bugs, rain & snow flakes just get shot up over the hood and windshield as you were going down the road
The newer ones that conform to the hood by slope and contour don't as good a job as the flat ones but it does protect the hood from rocks and bugs. Our dealer threw one on our Excursion as part of the deal.

I put an American Flag bug shield on my new triple black Ex. I was afraid it wouldn't look good on the otherwise black truck but I've gotten a lot of nice comments about it already. I got it from Cabelas online.
