Options for X grills

Saw the post from Cobramike. I like the billet look. What are my choices? Also like the black out look (my X is all black). Do the newer Xs come with color cordinated bumpers and grills? Does anyone make a mess grill for the X like the Denali look?

02 2WD X
All black

Re: Options for X grills

The grilles from Ford come already painted. I bought a White with Arizona Beige inserts for $200 from the dealer. The new ones come with painted bumpers as an option, and there are always black ones on Ebay. Click on my link below for photos of the new grille and headlight update.

Re: Options for X grills

I found a Stull on ebay for $100. Three piece set. I'll see how that works first. I keep searching for the black bumpers.

Re: Options for X grills

Putco makes grilles wth holes and other patterns for the SD's and Ex's

Putco site

You can get All black painted SD grilles for about $130, I have the part # if you need it. The X grilles are more expensive since they are 4pc. jobs, but are favorites for billet conversions since no cutting is required.

I LOVE your grill, that's exactly the look I want!!!!! Can you scratch me up a part number I can take to my local Ford dealer to order one? Or a Year/Make/Model you ordered it from?

Thanks.

Re: Options for X grills

I have a J&J Enterprises grill. They go right over the factory grill and no modifications are required so they can easily be removed.

Re: Options for X grills

Another fun fact, I sold my stock chrome grille with a broken center insert for $140 on eBay.

I'm still confused!!!! How in the world did you get it for $200??? It retails for $299, and the cheapest I've been able to find it, even with a Ford/Visteon discount is around $250

Re: Options for X grills

I guess I should stop teasing people with prices. I get 5% over dealer cost.

Re: Options for X grills

Finally got mine installed. A rough 2 minute job.

Absolutely love the look of the Oxford White grille with Arizona Biege inserts on my 01 Oxford white X!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, while looking at my old grill that I pulled out, it appears that the grill inserts are just held in place by some sort of tabs. My question is, if they come out as easy as it looks like they may (haven't tried yet), why do they need to be cut out for installation of custom inserts???????

Re: Options for X grills

They come out pretty easy - sell that thing on eBay, heck, I'll sell it for you! I'll relist the one I had, just shove it in the box your new one came in an I'll send you a check and a shipping label to send it out. You may get $150 out of it.
