Ordered my 3rd (and final) X today

Figured that it was time to say out with the old and in with the new. I haven't heard any valid rumors about any final changes to the X before they become a true dinosaur, so I ordered up my last new one. EB 4X4 loaded with everything except the TV. I'll add an aftermarket 10" with additional displays and Playstation after I get it (for less than the $1,500 factory unit). Dealer took my offer of $1,000 back of invoice (they still make about $1,300) plus I'll get whatever incentives that they are offering at the time of delivery.

Plenty of mods lined up thanks to this site. I've actually been on here for a couple of years, but after I upgraded my computer I found it easier to start out fresh with a new user name than chase down the old info.

Will be selling the 2001 Ltd w/46K on it shortly.

A sad day, and a happy day...

You trading your 2001 or selling it there BayArea as I recall seeing someone on the boards looking for a 2001-2002.

Re: Ordered my 3rd (and final) X today

Hey Bill,

Once I get an order confirmation, build date and VIN, I will send my 2001 out to the detail shop and start to advertise it for sale. It's paid for, so I hold the title, which should make it an easier sale for someone that might want to finance it.

I'm thinking the local paper and Truck Trader. Any suggestions??

Thanks.

With your mileage...you'll prolly be able to sell it here. At least this would be a great free place to start.

Sounds like a nice Excursion for sure but when you have it all ready to go take pictures of the ride and add em to the For Sale Ad's,pics are worth a thousand words along with all the details

Re: Ordered my 3rd (and final) X today

Thanks guys,

I'll post it here first for fellow posters to get the first crack at it. I hate to get rid of it, but the timing on the "last year model" came quicker than I figured...

I should know tomorrow if the 2005 order was picked up by Ford yet.

Re: Ordered my 3rd (and final) X today

I got a call back from my dealer yesterday and FMC will not accept any new orders for Excursions with diesel engines. Balance of production will be gas 5.4 and 6.8 2 valve engines.

Hope yours got through before the cut off.
