Outside temperature display

Can anyone shed some light why suddenly the outside temperature display on the overhead console would be off about 30 degrees. When it is in the 90's it says in the 60's.Does anyone know where the sensor is mounted. It is an 01 Excursion.Everything else works ok.
Thanks

The sensor is behind the grill on the drivers side, if I'm not mistaken.

The math doesn't work out right for this to be the problem, but might the scale have been switched to Celcius? It should read in the 30's if that's the case...
