Overdrive off

is there a way to have the overdrive turned off when you first turn the key?

Re: Overdrive off

Not an answer, but another question...

Why would you want the overdrive to default to off?

Re: Overdrive off

I spend more time below 45 mpg on hills than anywhere else. The tranny is going in and out of OD all of the time. I have no problem kicking off the OD when I get in, but my wife is a different story. I just want to prolong the life of the trans as long as possible.

I love the X

Re: Overdrive off

You could try a momentary relay that is triggered when you start the vehicle.

Re: Overdrive off

A company makes an aftermarket control box that does exactly what you want. It is used by delivery truck types and for some fleet vehicles. I will look for the URL.
