PCM Flash for 2000
While in the shop getting my vibrating problem fixed (bad rear U joint) the Ford dealer flashed my PCM. While running a diag. on the truck to isolate the vibration the computer advised there was an updated program available. The shop flashed my truck at no charge and I have noticed two major things. First, the shift points changed. I really notice this when I get into the 80-90 MPH range and it still feels like it needs to shift. The RPM's are sitting around 2500 though. Second. My fuel milage has gone from the low 13's to 15. (this is on the overhead console, have not had it back a full tank to calculate manually yet)
Anyway, a flash might be something to look into if you happen to find yourself in the shop.
Matt
