Peterbilt Oval On Front

I went to a Peterbilt dealer today and bought an oval to replace mine on the grill. It worked great. I pooped the old, lined the Peterbilt up and drilled two new holes. It came with speed nuts and it is on for good. You will most likely break the pin holders on the old but the oval did not break at all and the pins are still fine. The new fits great and by taking the top screws out of the grill you can get back there easy. Use a socket on the speed nut and bang the oval from the outside with your palm and it snapes right on. $45.00 complete and the new RED oval is metal and really nice. Wait till I come up behind another Ford or anyone who knows trucks and they see this in the rearview mirror. I am ading it to my pictures right now.

Does the hood & mirrors now shake at idle & sound like it has a big CAT under the hood?

Don't forget the stacks go on next week

Re: Peterbilt Oval On Front

Thats right, I forgot the emblem included a Cat engine also. No stacks, just thought this would look different. I am seeing more and more Xs on the road and it is bothering me. I used to have the one of few, now I see them with cab lights even.

Definitely true more and more Excursions on the road but most of the owners just put fuel in them and run em into the ground

Been two years the lights were installed on our X but there's just a few of us with em

Re: Peterbilt Oval On Front

Thanks, I think so also. It was very easy to do. It is big enough to see from a distance too. I really want to move the PSD emblem to the door like the PU but I am not into buying two more. That and I am not a big fan of pulling these up as they can take paint.

That's pretty cool. I wish Navistar had an emblem like that!

Have a good one,
Dave

Re: Peterbilt Oval On Front

"SWEEEEEET"!!!!!!!

I had the same idea with my CAT emblems. Check sig.

I sure get a lot of looks with the CAT emblems on, you will too.

I was picking up my Travel Trailer and some of the service guys were actually looking up under the front to see the CAT engine. One said "man, I guess you had to have that special order from Ford huh?"
I just said "yup". LOL

I thought about putting a CAT racing logo on it, but that may be too much. I don't know.

Nice job!!!

Re: Peterbilt Oval On Front

I wish CAT made a nice round one. I like the side plates. Now I need air horns but they are expensive. I could use the compressor to run my air bags though.

Re: Peterbilt Oval On Front

Yea, I don't know who Pete is and I did not cook him on the grill. Please stop the emails and silent observer calls. I am tired of waking up a 2am with a yard full of police and tear gas.
