Plastic part of bumper....

03 Excursion - rear bumper - the plastic pc which runs along the top....is this a part that can be bought seperate....where can I buy one?

Yes, available separately ... and there are two pieces across the top (L & R). Got mine from the dealer a few years ago ... were not expensive ... I'm thinking it cost me $30-something for the pair.

this is strange - checked OEm shows 2 parts - I look at my x it is one solid pc across the top - confused!!!!!

Aftermarket bumper? The bumper has two plastic covers, L + R. The center is where a bumper hitch ball could be mounted.

Strike my previous post. It IS one piece and #4 is marked 'upper step cover' and the drawing is 'trimmed' to only show the left side-not the middle and R side.

OK, I goofed. It is a single piece across the top. I apologize for the confusion. Still, they were reasonably priced from the dealer (crash parts ... lots of supply). Please note that I don't visit this website a whole lot.

I get very good prices at a local dealer because I have spent thousands at their parts counter. When I buy the Ford bushings for making radius-rods, I'll buy $1K-worth at a time. Needless to say, they know me there.
