Problem with Hellwig antisway and 4" tail pipe

I have the Hellwig antisway bar on my X (2wd). I'm in the process of having a 4" exhaust system added. The shop just called and told me the 4" tailpipe won't clear the antisway bar.

Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Didn't know that the exhaust system is that way different on a 4x2?
My Hellwig doesn't even come anywhere near the exhaust on my 4x4.
Perhaps the routing of the aftermarket 4" system differs from the stock

Re: Problem with Hellwig antisway and 4" tail pipe

My 4" tailpipe clears the hellwig swaybar and airbag hardware, but it took a little juggling by the muffler shop. It was a flo-pro tail pipe, which I think is a 2 piece job. It is a tight fit in there though, maybe you could play with the end link length to move the bar out of the way.

Re: Problem with Hellwig antisway and 4" tail pipe

I've only got a 3 1/2 inch but it's nowwhere near the pipe . .you might go down and make sure they're installing it in the correct orientation. There are some good pic's of it installed somewhere on the website.

Regards,
Dave

Re: Problem with Hellwig antisway and 4" tail pipe

The fix was to insert about a 3-4" section of 4" pipe at the break, were the 2 pieces of the tailpipe meet.
