The reason for PSD badges is that it shows that you bought a REAL truck and not some stinkin' wanna-be diesel V-10.
In other words, instead of just LOOKING like you have a GOOD truck, you ACTUALLY HAVE a GREAT truck.
My wife complained about getting a diesel because thw X is her vehicle...now she says she LOVES the diesel. Not a bad change of heart for a Bay Area California girl! I'll make a Texan out of her yet!

2000 Excursion Ltd, 4x2, 7.3L PSD, limited slip axle, Estate Green with Medium Parchment interior
The black and silver lettering and background are good looking and the two little red underlines on Power Stroke give a nice accent. I have an Estate Green LTD and it looks almost like military camo colors, olive green and putty beige trim, but better – the badges just look good, little red accent is great. I have them on the doors, like the come on the Super Duty’s, and I have one on the back under the Ford emblem.
I have had just two cars that would regularly cause people – ordinary people - to ask questions about the engine.
* Cadillac – “Does that have the Northstar engine???”
* Excursion, because of the badges – just today “you have a Power Stroke in that Excursion??”
Funny how these two engines are of interest to people because they’ve heard what good engines they are. I’m sure, like anything, there are exceptions.
I’m proud to have a Diesel in an X because, for myself, I probably would not own one without a Diesel – knowing I’ll be getting 18 – 20 mpg makes me feel good. I do have and “eco-conscience” and a ‘wallet-conscience”. Besides I’m paid $4000+ to have it and proud and happy that I have it. It has a modest “chip” +50 hp Western Diesel so it’s no slug if it needs to move out. Don’t know about you folks I get plenty of long interested looks everyday from other drivers – it’s not just my good looks. LOL

hey----to each, his own.........I just took the 4x4 decals OFF my F-250.....I think the truck looks cleaner, and leaner without all that garbage on it!!!!!! If it wasn't for the fact that a couple of the F250 emblems would leave holes, I'd take them off too!!! If people can't tell you have a diesel, you must have bought Kim's kit!!!!!
