Check the door code they could be A codes

My sons Father inlaw has a 01 250 CC short box 7.3 with Vs and As so they are out there.

Bottom line is you need to know what you have.

Bruce,

I am getting to the point of thinking about the spring work. Is there any other way to identify the springs other than looking at the door codes? I am surprised that there are not stamped codes on the spring packs identifying them.

My very best educated guess would be IF it realy was a SRW 350 WITH the full snow plow package and off road then it had Xs in front and Bs in back with full variable rates on the bottom and the 250/350 overload on top.

So for the rears you should be good, just do Carys mod.
Xs [550 fronts] are to much for most

No or at least no one here has been able to figure this out over the last 8 years.

Does anybody know what the rating on a "B" code rear is?
I put 5200 lbs springs in the front of my x and now it is the rears turn. What I am looking for is basicly the same ride quility when mt as oem but when I put a trailer on it I want the springs to pick up the load without much squatting.
This on a 2000 x 7.3 with a 180'000 miles on it.

Thanks
