Shortly after picking up the new truck I noticed radio reception would completely go out on the radio after being on for about 2-5 minutes. Suspected a bad antenna connection - that wasn't the case.
Took it back to the dealer and found out there is a known problem. Apparently quite a few of the units have a particular cold solder joint that causes complete loss of reception once the radio heats up.
Fortunately they simply swapped it out with another unit and it appears to work fine now.
Cold solder joint would be easy to fix, but since they just swapped radios I did not bother to get more details.
Never realized how much I'd miss the morning show out here!
