When I was helping out at the Dyno Day they had at SunCoast Trans in FWB, all the Fords, 250 - 350 were wrapping more than other brands against the Dyno Wheel without ladder bars. I can only assume more wrap would occur against a fixed surface. Fords have a unique way the axle moves, more like a pendulum.
The 4X4 X's have a factory traction bar for limited acceleration assist. None for braking. When you add a lift that includes a larger block, you only make it worse.
The ProComp lift I have work greats on the road. If I off-roaded alot it would be to rough. On the street I can run hard. My only concern is from a dead stop on acceleration. Want to keep all the pieces together under any power. The more bit without wheel spin -- equals greater acceleration.
With the X's being heavier in the rear, I can only guess we can generate more wrap under power than a PU no matter if we are running the same springs.
I'm happy with my factory springs with an add-a-leaf even when pulling and carrying 800 lbs of tongue weight. Very little sag and great handling.
Interesting idea, but absolutely no allowance for axle articulation.

Boy, you ain't kiddin'. I won't be going that route. I did upper links on my jeep (1 ton axle with 38s) that attached to the top of the springs like that. Didn't help all that much, not enough leverage. Went with a single ladder mounted on one side of the pumpkin, and it solved a myriad of problems.

Do the SD's have this problem as well? Seems that an X with F350 springs on it at all corners should behave more like an F350.

A buddy with an F350 4x4 DRW had Landyot build a custom set ... said it improved the ride quality and is happy with them. So I would say it's not just spring-rate, but more a matter of the geometry.
Received my Radius Rods on the 1 jun PM. Did a trial fit and had a welding shop cut an grind the factory OEM traction bar on 2 June.(Cost $27.00.) Spayed alittle black paint on the cut. Installed the Radius Rods in a couple of hours. Great fit and quality product.
Put over fifty miles on the rods and all I can say is they work great. I have looked for every bump and hole to hit. You no longer get any steering input from the rear. Feels like a different vehicle. These bars have exceeded my expectation. I will continue to test. If you don't have them you need to consider them and add to your list of must haves when you have the $$$$$.
