Raer axle noise, Wrap?

Question for you all. My Ex makes a "grunt" from the rear-end, but only when turning. I drained the diff & put in new full synthetic fluid along with friction mod. U-joints seem tight. Wondering if it sounds like axle wrap or something else someone may know of. Thanks for the help.

My X is doing the same thing and has been for a while

I am guessing your problem may be the same as mine

The limited slip is shot at about 110K

Check to see if you have or you may know if your rear is limited slip
AKA limited grip

I will replace mine with an Auburn or Eaton shure track

Are you saying yours doesn't grip? Mine hooks up w/o any trouble at all. When I had the differential cover off it was clean and tight. I am looking at some spring mods for ride quality and wonder if that is part of the issue. I have also been told that the Dueller AT Revo's could be part of the issue, too much grip. I don't know, looking for input. Thanks.

When I changed my fluid it was still very clean at 100K + but I know the limited grip is shot

Not shure what your problem is but I know what mine is.

As far as the tires; never can have to much grip
To much grip and I can get 80K out of them, wow!
I will have to buy a fourth set next fall and hope they did not change them to much!

Too much grip is impossible and isnt the cause. i would guess clutch chatter. If it is chattering it wont take long to wear out!! Sometimes 2 bottles of F.M is needed. If that doesnt quite it down then a rebuild or better L.S option should do.

does it really matter if your friction modifier comes from FORD or can you use mopar modifier. wouldn't it be the same stuff with differant label ? Just wondering cuz I changed fluid with mobil 1 LS, 6mo. later started getting chatter so I put one bottle of modifier from ford in and seemed to help alot but still there and I have a bottle from dodge in garage or should I go back to ford for a second bottle ?

I had the mobil in mine. I had the chatter. I bought some stuff at napa. It did the trick. However, I have been changing my diff fluid every 50K. No problems, and everything is tight. 200K and still going strong. Ive pulled everything from 1500LBs to 9000lbs. Luck I guess.
