Which Rancho 9000's with x springs?

I just purchased a 2000 limited 4 x 4 with 44000 miles on it and am going to order x springs and the sway bar this week. Can anyone tell me which rancho 9000's to order for a proper fit with the new springs? Part #'s would be awesome and where can i gat the best deal? Also will the stock rims hold me over for a while if I mount bfg ko 285 75r 16's on them. I plan to get rims but not right away. Re: Which Rancho 9000's with x springs?

The normal Rancho shocks for the factory X work fine. When I installed my x springs I called Rancho and they said the "normal" length shocks were good up to a 2" lift. The number for them is RS9267. I bought mine from Summit for $74 a piece but 4 wheel parts has them for $64.
As far as rims go, I had 295/75 16's mounted on factory rims and got 50,000 miles out of them with no problems, no flats, and even wear. Hope this helps.

Re: Which Rancho 9000's with x springs?

Go with the W springs. Your X will sit more level, and you won't find yourself having to compensate at the rear.

I got RS9266s and RS9267s on the advice of SuperDuty Headquarters for my X with X springs. They work great. Mine are all installed with the adjuster knob down. For best results (read: I forgot to babysit the installer), have them install the front shocks with one knob facing forward and the other facing backward. That way, if you turn your steering wheel all the way to one side (which side is left as an exercise for the reader), you'll be able to easily reach both knobs. Also, be sure to babysit the installer and make sure they install the rears with the knobs facing rearward (yes, one was installed with the knob facing front, where you REALLY can't reach it). Admittedly, I had everything installed at a practically Spanish-speaking-only shop, but it was quick and modestly priced.
